Our toddler was enraptured by the music and loved looking at the essence of each season, beautifully illustrated in the book. Follow Isabelle, her potted apple tree, and her puppy as they journey through all four seasons in a single day. From the joyful and moody tunes of Spring to the slow and turbulent sounds of Summer, from the celebratory and rhythmic melodies of Fall to the sharp and fast thrills of Winter’s cold, this book brings the changing seasons to life.

While it can be a bit tricky for a toddler to press the sound buttons on each page, they can easily do so on the final page, where all the buttons appear together.

We initially borrowed this book from the library but loved it so much that we ended up buying it. It’s a captivating introduction to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, featuring the best recordings by violinist John Harrison.
